For those who have Irish roots or just the luck of the Irishman, visit the Celtic and New London Currach festival on Saturday 23 August. New London, Connecticut, hosts the third annual festival celebrating Celtic traditions with a parade, music and dance, food, races, activities. The festival runs from 10 am - 7 pm in downtown New London’s Waterfront Park and is free for families. The festival offers a variety of Irish and Scottish music, whatever your desire. May Music and dance performances will be ongoing throughout the day on three different stages: City Pier, Custom House, and the culture of the tent. Include Celtic Melody, Trouz Braz, Dan Ringrose, Danny O’Flaherty, Ed Miller, James and Jodee. Dancers of the Mystic Scottish Country Dancers and Spirited Soles Irish Dance Academy will perform traditional Celtic dances. Here is a description of each type of performance. Celtic Melody plays lively jigs, reels, dance and music and songs of Ireland, traditionally. Dan Ringrose sings ballads, drinking songs and playful, and sea shanties. He plays guitar and bodhran time, which is an Irish frame drum. Danny O’Flaherty is a balladeer and incorporates a period of six and twelve string guitar, button accordion, whistle, harmonica and his music Gaelic. Trouz Bras (pronounced True Brazz) combines bagpipes, fiddle and percussion in its performance. The band of six people to play fast and festive music. Scottish singer Ed Miller plays the songs and tales of Scotland.

The Greater Sudbury Celtic Festival and Highland Games in partnership with AEG Live give you a chance to see Celtic Thunder Live Festival from Ireland, 21 April 2009 at the Sudbury Arena. Celtic Thunder was conceived by Sharon Browne and written and arranged by Phil Coulter and designed as a contemporary exploration of Celtic music, which means it belongs to the pop dance side of music. The show was produced and filmed in Dublin in August 2007 and submitted five men singers, Damian McGinty (only 14 years old when the show was recorded), Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Ryan Kelly and George Donaldson rotation leads through a series of traditional and contemporary songs, several of them written by Coulter.

Greater Sudbury Celtic Festival and Highlands Games will happen at Bell Park on May 22 and 23. The festival promises a day filled with friends, Food, Fun, and Folklore. Asked to assess the Celtic festival of over 20 musicians, artists and bands from across europe, food and vendors, the return of the Vale Inco Canadian Federation of Scottish Heavy Games athletes and mass of pipes and drums. New this year will be performance of a ScotDance Canada Highland Dance Competition and the concert of Scotland Bobby Watt and David Leask called Juno, which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Robbie Burns.

9 -17 October, 2009 The 12th edition of the Celtic Colors International Festival has been a wonderful experience for artists, volunteers and thousands of participants from around the world! From the spectacular opening performance at the Carlos Núñez Band to the emotional closing tribute to Rita MacNeil, another star of the festival 45 performances and over 260 community events and education.Yes, Celtic Colors International Festival are all a little breathless, but inspired to move forward with plans for next year.
