The Greater Sudbury Celtic Festival

The Greater Sudbury Celtic Festival and Highland Games in partnership with AEG Live give you a chance to see Celtic Thunder Live Festival from Ireland, 21 April 2009 at the Sudbury Arena. Celtic Thunder was conceived by Sharon Browne and written and arranged by Phil Coulter and designed as a contemporary exploration of Celtic music, which means it belongs to the pop dance side of music. The show was produced and filmed in Dublin in August 2007 and submitted five men singers, Damian McGinty (only 14 years old when the show was recorded), Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Ryan Kelly and George Donaldson rotation leads through a series of traditional and contemporary songs, several of them written by Coulter.

Greater Sudbury Celtic Festival and Highlands Games will happen at Bell Park on May 22 and 23. The festival promises a day filled with friends, Food, Fun, and Folklore. Asked to assess the Celtic festival of over 20 musicians, artists and bands from across europe, food and vendors, the return of the Vale Inco Canadian Federation of Scottish Heavy Games athletes and mass of pipes and drums. New this year will be performance of a ScotDance Canada Highland Dance Competition and the concert of Scotland Bobby Watt and David Leask called Juno, which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Robbie Burns.
